An Unrequited Love for Life

For years I’ve been standing first in line at life’s customer service desk

And I can’t help but think that she is a gorgeous specimen

Her mountains are long ebony locks I desire to climb

But not just to the top

I want to experience every crevice that beautiful life has to offer

But I see that her eyes are on a man behind me

Who doesn’t even know her as well as I do

And I know that life will never love me the way I have grown to love her.
